Fearless in Winter Tabletop
Fearless in Winter Tabletop
One October morning in front of our cabin was the most elegant and graceful animal I’d ever seen. It moved with such confidence. Snow white, I thought it a “white mink.” It was a huge long tail male weasel with a bushy tail (like a fox) but lacking the weasel’s customary black tip. With bait provided he stayed around for about six weeks, and I was able to study his ways and photograph him. I respected his privacy and he had no fear of me and sometimes he would come to within a foot of me. Then he was gone. I don’t know where he came from; I don’t know where he went; and I haven’t seen him since. But I surely treasure my memories of “Fearless”. This bronze is available with a white winter or a brown summer patina.
